Realizing the potential of our very fortunate location
Lewiston and Clarkston are situated in one of the most remarkable locations in the American West—the confluence of the lower Snake River and the Clearwater River. Prior to 1962, generations of local residents fished and boated the wild rivers, played on sandy beaches, and hunted birds and game in the trees and bushes along the shore. We would like to invite you to recall the abundance of those past decades and imagine a future that’s even better—a future that includes a free-flowing lower Snake River.
